Our 5-week project manager team includes Sophie, Jess and Nick, who will be responsible for leading and motivating our groups of young volunteers whilst on expedition. We have two Spanish Interpreters, Jordan and Carme, who will help our volunteers liaise with the communities we will be working with in Costa Rica and supporting our host country volunteers. We also have two Expedition Medics, Rosie and Simon, who will be fulfilling the project manager role whilst providing medical care for our volunteers. Joining our Logistics Team at Fieldbase are Fiona and Gwen, who will be helping to ensure our volunteers have all the equipment they need during expedition.
Nuestro equipo de líderes de 5 semanas incluye a Sophie, Jess y Nick, quienes serán los responsables de dirigir y motivar a nuestros grupos de jóvenes voluntarios durante la expedición. También tenemos dos intérpretes de español, Jordan y Carme, que ayudarán a nuestros voluntarios a ponerse en contacto con las comunidades con las que trabajaremos en Costa Rica y a apoyar a los voluntarios de nuestro país anfitrión. También contamos con dos médicos de Expedition, Rosie y Simon, quienes también cumplirán el rol de gerente de proyecto a la vez que brindan atención médica a nuestros voluntarios. Uniéndose a nuestro Equipo de Logística en Fieldbase están Fiona y Gwen, quienes estarán ayudando a asegurar que nuestros voluntarios tengan todo el equipo que necesitan durante la expedición.
Shortly after their welcome to the training centre, our project managers began their training in preparation for the arrival of our volunteers in a few weeks time. Part of this induction was a trek around the area of Grano de Oro, where they had the opportunity to put their navigation skills to the test, practice their medical evacuation procedure and set up camp.
Poco después de su bienvenida al centro de capacitación, nuestros líderes de equipo comenzaron su capacitación y preparación para la llegada de nuestros voluntarios dentro de unas semanas. Parte de esta inducción fue una caminata alrededor del área de Grano de Oro, donde tuvieron la oportunidad de poner a prueba sus habilidades de navegación, practicar su procedimiento de evacuación médica y acampar.
On their return to the training centre, our project managers discovered which projects they will be leading this summer. We are running two Community Resilience projects to build kindergartens in indigenous communities. Jordan, Jess and Simon will be in based in the community of Duseriñak, whereas Nick and Rosie will be working with the community of Tsirbakla.
A su regreso al centro de capacitación, nuestros líderes descubrieron qué proyectos liderarán este verano. Estamos ejecutando dos proyectos de Resiliencia Comunitaria para construir centros educativos en comunidades indígenas. Jordan, Jess y Simon estarán en la comunidad de Duseriñak, mientras que Nick y Rosie trabajarán con la comunidad de Tsirbakla.
