Greentalist Nacional is a youth leadership program that combines virtual learning with hands-on environmental action.

It empowers young Costa Ricans to connect with nature, live sustainably, and create real change in their communities.

Calling Young Costa Ricans to apply

Voluntarios clasificando residuos en una jornada ambiental en la playa.

Volunteers will experience a mix of learning and servicing activities

Virtual sessions: one introduction and three modules on biodiversity, sustainable lifestyles, and transformative education.

Hands-on projects: co-lead a real community project anywhere in the country, either in schools, communities, or national parks.

Who can Apply
  •  Ages 18–25: Volunteer participants
  • Ages 26 and up: Volunteer leaders
  • Full availability and commitment
  • Good physical and mental condition
  • A small fundraising contribution for project cost
  • Skills in leadership, sustainability, and teamwork
  • A national network of young changemakers
  • Certificate of participation and a letter of recommendation
